About Us
JSONDiffHub is a one-tool site. We build a JSON diff tool — compares two JSON documents and shows added, removed and changed values in a visual diff — and nothing else. No sign-up, no mailing list, no paywall: you open the page and use it.
The idea behind JSONDiffHub
Most developer tools online spend more screen space on advertising and consent banners than on the calculation. JSONDiffHub takes the other approach — the tool does one thing, compares two JSON documents and shows added, removed and changed values in a visual diff, and the page stays out of the way while it does. A narrow scope is easier to keep correct, too.
How the calculation works
The calculation happens in your browser, not on a server. Specifically, it walks both object trees in parallel, aligning keys rather than line numbers, so a reordered key is not reported as a change and a nested edit is located by its path instead of by its position in the file. The method is documented rather than concealed, so you can reproduce a result by hand and see exactly where any difference comes from.
Where your data goes
Nothing you enter is transmitted. Both JSON documents you paste is handled by the page on your own machine, which is why JSONDiffHub has no server-side copy to lose, leak or hand over — and why it still works once you go offline.
Who uses it
- developers wiring up an API or a config.
- engineers checking a value before it ships.
- anyone who wants a tool that runs locally.
Keeping the lights on
Advertising pays for the running of JSONDiffHub; nothing here is subscription-based. No advertiser is given the values you enter, and an advert appearing beside a tool is never a recommendation of it.
Contact
If something is wrong, or if there is a feature you would find useful, the contact page is the way to reach us. Messages from people who use the JSON diff tool shape what gets built next.
