Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how JSON Diff Hub ("we", "our", "the site") handles information when you visit jsondiffhub.com. The short version: your JSON documents are compared entirely inside your browser and never leave your device.

1. Your JSON Data

All parsing, comparison, and result rendering happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. When you paste JSON into the tool:

  • No document content is uploaded to our servers or any third-party server.
  • No document content is stored, logged, cached, or shared.
  • Closing or refreshing the page discards everything you entered.

2. Information We Collect

We do not require registration and do not collect personal information such as names or email addresses for use of the tool. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically receive standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and performance purposes.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

We use a small amount of browser storage to remember your choices:

  • Cookie consent: your Accept/Decline choice for our cookie banner is stored locally so we do not ask again.
  • These values stay on your device and can be removed at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

4. Advertising

We display advertisements through third-party networks, including Google AdSense. These vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

  • You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings.
  • Third-party ad vendors' use of cookies is governed by their own privacy policies.

5. Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand overall traffic patterns (for example, page views and approximate region). This data is not used to identify individual visitors and is never linked to the JSON documents you compare.

6. Children's Privacy

JSON Diff Hub is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EU/EEA under GDPR and California under CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Since we do not collect personal data for the tool itself, most requests will relate to advertising cookies, which you can control through your browser settings and the opt-out links above.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
